ELENA PAGAR MEMBER Cause of Death: Diabetes Mellitus Type I Date of Death: December 9, 2016 FONUS Mortuary Plan Beneficiary-Talisay Branch DECEASED: MAEVEL PAGAR (DAUGHTER) AGE: 17 years old During those time that I am not member of MAVENCO, I and my husband are having a hard time on our businesses. I sell food or snacks near the fly over and my husband’s business is to deliver raw materials to several stores. During the time my daughter got sick, I didn’t have a stable income. I accompanied my daughter to the hospital for her operation. During the opening of MAVENCO Talisay branch, I immediately applied for membership hoping that it might help us with our small business. After I joined, I convinced my husband to apply for membership as well. Their services are impressive, and as well as the way they treat their clients. There’s was big improvement in our business when I first apply for a loan, it helped us helped us improve our store business. I and my husband also apply for their insurance product, specifically Fonus. The reason why we decided to get Fonus mortuary benefit is to be ready for unfavorable circumstances that might happen to our family. The greatest dilemma that we encountered is the death of my daughter. Her sickness has gotten worse, and she didn’t survive the medication. At that time, I became delinquent because of her death. After her burial I requested for a restructuring of my account. The nice treatment of the staff never changed even for the fact that I got delinquent with my payments. With this, I am in great appreciation of the warmth and excellent service they gave me as one of the member of Mavenco. I and my husband process our claim for the death of our daughter. The moment we receive our claim grant from Fonus, it helps us a lot to recover from all the struggles we encountered. We decided to live continually and move on. We are happy that we became part of MAVENCO. Merla Alcover Mandaue Branch Member “ I was not that convinced to the concept and principles of cooperative before, not until I have attended the Pre-Membership Education Seminar ( PMES ) back in 2014. It was an eye opener for me, I used to transact with banks for the longest time but after it was made clear to me why the cooperative exists my perception changed. I then started to admire the concept of cooperativism. I immediately signed up a membership form and decided to become a regular member after the seminar. I can still remember when I applied my first loan. The requirements are just so easy to comply and not to mention the very friendly and accommodating staff you can really feel that you are part of the cooperative. And of course, the loan release time frame is also very timely. The cooperative has been my partner in growing my business. I thank the cooperative for being there in times of my financial need. I am looking forward to more fruitful partnership in the future.” Rolila Gabud Mavcare Member Mandaue Branch “I Just wanted to share my experience with MAVENCO’s MAVCARE Health Benefit. My daughter Crystal Faith Gabud is one of those who have benefited from the program when she got hospitalized at Cebu Doctor’s University Hospital last April 20, 2017. I’m grateful that the cooperative have thought of doing this kind of program for its members. It somehow makes all the members of MAVCARE program feel secured in times of sickness that needs immediate medical attention. The financial aid coming from the member’s equal contribution is truly a big help and it also revives the value of “Cooperation” or “Pagtinabangay “ in our own dialect, which is precisely the true essence why the cooperative exists and one of the reason why the cooperative has been consistently growing. Thank you fellow members and Thank You MAVENCO! I am looking forward to more members that would benefit from the program.” MARITES BOBO Swine Financing Program-Member Consolacion Branch "Before I came in Mavenco, I was having a hard time in running my business. I engaged in Sari-sari store business and hog raising. I became a member of MAVENCO for almost a year, and it helps me a lot with financial support for my business. In the beginning, I joined MAVENCO to be part of their MicroFinance program to provide sufficiency for the capital of my Sari-Sari Store. After a few months, I joined the Swine Financing Program to support my husband’s hog raising activity, till such time I convinced him to apply as a member of the cooperative. The Swine raising program gave a big impact to our lives. From first Cycle with 10 heads, I gained a net income of Php17, 000, and for the 2nd cycle with 27 heads I gained a net income of Php 92,000. Through the income I earned from the swine financing program, we were able to make house improvements through renovations, it also improved our lifestyle, and our standard of living. I also have my kids enroll in the Afflatoun program for kiddie savings to save for their future. In terms of the services, I don’t have any complaints. They are always on time in terms of the harvest, disposal and delivering of feeds, and also in monitoring of the hogs. Their performances are splendid! I am so thankful that I and my family are part of MAVENCO. Kudos to each and every one!
